Why didnt eye think of that?

ok so im chatting with a friend about my blog.... n she asked me if there were any recipes on it. i reluctantly told her no. reluctantly because, i should have had then up by now! im just saying... i cook so.....

ok well anyways,here we go

Rib eyez!!!!

ok this is gonna b REAL simple.... real simple!
1st step, light the grill! get it good n hot!

-ok, get sum steaks
-get ur favorite hot sauce
-now alota dry mustard
-a lil kosher salt

alright pat ur steaks dry, n sprinkel them liberly with ur salt (2taste)

cake on ur dry mustard... nope thats not enough, add a lil more! (u almost dont want 2c any red left)

next step is shake sum sauce on the steaks, only do this rt b4 ur ready2 grill. if you do it 2early ull end up with a gloppy mess.

after uv added ur hot sauce, toss those bad boys on ur hot grill (charcoal prefered) and cook till desired doneness.

ull notice the mustard / hot sauce mix created an awesome crust on ur steaks. i like to finish them off with a spoon full of basil / roasted garlic butter!

untill next time......

Aight, so im deff an iced tea kinda guy, not too big on many sodas (though i must have a coke every so often). im n wegmans, n this catches my eye. i think it was the cranberry part i found intreaging. so keeping with the holiday sperit i decided to give it a try, hell it was on sale foe 2bucks, why not! let me tell u, im glad i did, this stuff is outa this world! its crisp! refreshing! its got a clear flavor... with out being overbearing. go get a can, u wont b disapointed. i oly hope its not only for the holidays! that would not b a good thing.

Hold Tha Presses!!! Update on SEI

ok, now fair is fair... n though this may not have been my fav spot ever. ive truly done them an injustice by excluding part of my meal. Dessert!! ok typicaly i dont have a sweet tooth, but this caught my eye, so i had 2endluge. ICE CREAM..... one scoop Dolche (u know the caramel stuff)..... one soy sauce!, N 1 sorbet....mint / Cucumber!!!! OMG!!! the dolche, couldnt stand alone, the soy sauce, might b able to have a dim spotlight, but no bit woop after the initial wow factor. Now tha cucumber mint, yea that right there, is a reason to visit this place! the cucumber is such an underrated flavor. its so.. light and "open", now u take that and pair it with the freshness of mint, and the cool smooth texture of a sorbet. all i can say is u have a winner. n believe me, it takes alot to get me excited about a dessert.

The food was very reasonably priced, and fresh always a good combo. I loved the choices I was given! I had cajun bucket. Sausage, shrimp, corn, crab legs....n love! Lol They r creative without....stepping 2far out the box. The wait staff was EXTREMELY helpful. N that means a lot to me... a whole lot. ???????El Tamarindo

Ok so.... I'm soo sorry but I must admit... I 4got the name of this place. (you can c from the comments below, ... she remembered!) I do know they set open till 5am! And had wonderful food. The ..paposa was perfect. The margarita was on point... strong, 2the point, but not obnoxious. I am so loving the trend of these places staying open late... and serving more than "jumbo slice pizza"! Getting back 2the mystery spot, ill b sure 2update the name. I had the pleasure of having a beautiful date that nt (who also loves food), always a plus.. b that as it may, this was her suggestion, so I'm sure I can jog her memory. Oooo I almost 4got one on things I truly enjoyed here (aside from my company), was the art! The walls were adorned with local art. And to take it a step further..... it was all 4sale. That alone is a reason to return.

so theres this spot back on 925 (a rd that runs parallel to 301 n waldorf md) called silver skewers. its been there for a few years, but i never tried it. my good friend jana n i decide to go there 4dinner. let me tell you, do not b fooled by the seemingly plain decor on the outside, and dont judge it by the city there n. as soon as you walt through the door u have the felling of being in a quaint little bistro in old town, or patomic. from the beautiful layout, to the perfectly set lighting, this is a perfect place to take that special sum1. there specialty kabobs! you have your choic from salmon, chicken, ribeye, and a few others. the menu is simplistic, but it works. they only make a few things, but they make them well. there price are surprisingly low, especialy then you c the amount of food your served. its a family owned busines and you can tell, by the way your treated. its refreshing 2come across a place were they not only take time 2prepare a meal, they take time to develop a relationship with there customers as well. iv got to mention our waiter...Said! this guy is a trip! personable, energetic, colorful..... i have 2 suggestions. 1-try the chicken, n lamb....2nd-ask 4 said 2b ur server!!!

leopold's (just4 u allie)

ok, so i must admit im sorta cheating on this 1. dont hate me... but ive been here b4! n fact its 1of mi favs!!! i will say this is the 1st time ive partaken in there desserts. i can also say, it will mot b the last. and 4me, thats a big deal. i actuall, happened to b here 4 a date (went extremely well i might add). she wasnt hungry so we just had sweets. the little cheese cake is only 4inch or so big.... but its big n flavor! i mean wow! i mean im a little guy, who packs a big punch, but i have nothing on this guy. the texture is astounding, its creamy, but no mushyness. and the glazed fruit is FRESH! @1st glance it looks 2b apples, but yea they fooled me, its pineapples!!! hope i didnt ruin a suprise 4any1. if that isnt enough u have the choice n endulging in house made whip cream. its not a hard thing 2make, but no1 does it anymore, n u can truly tell the diff. anyway, if ur ever n dc, i say hit um up!! &a side note my personal fav is the skirt stake!!!!! my bad.... ita an Austrian restraunt. the only 1 i know of n the city, but they only need 1 n my opnion!

Broadway diner

Ok, so i heart the food network! sofar they have never steered me wrong! im n b-more, tiring to make it 2 "woodberry Kitchen" when low n behold they open @5!! and im there @2.... needless 2say im blown. so im on mi way home n decide 2 look through my crackberry n c if theres somewhere else n the city i wanted 2try. n there was "Broadway Diner" it did not disapoint! the menu was vast! i mean realy, i was with mi mom, n her complaint was there was 2much on it! anywho, i went with the Hungarian Goulash (featured on Diners Drive-ins, n Dives), and mom got the spinich salad. t
he salad was massive! covered with fresh mozzarella, italian baccon, roasted red peppers....i was ful, but typing is making me hungry again! mi dish, was very simplistic....but oddly enough some of the most simple things r the most n depth! perfectly cooked egg noodles, a rich brown gravy, and wonderful cubes of beef, reminiscent of potroast from the old country! it was just pasta, brn gravy, n beef...but @the same time it was so much more.
this place was nothing fancy (its a diner), but if ur looking 4sum good eats, and the old school flavor id hit um up!

bodaga, spanash tapas & lounge

ok, earlier 2day i was on my way 2georgetown cupcake (whol nother blog). it was roughly 3-ish n i got a little hungry, so i decided to venture down the street n c what caught mi eye. after a few blocks i saw a tapas bar! since it wasnt lunch, n not quit dinner, it wasnt croudrd @all. this worked out well 4me, because there was no enteruptions in my view of the decore. speaking of, the colors grab you as soon as u walk n. blk, red, n white! the blk n whw were well used, but thats 2b expected. the red was the standout, from the accent artwork adorning the walls, 2the blood red crystal chandlear.
now on 2the food, the reason were all here. i went with the lunch-box. as long as ur there by 3 its $10, and u get 3choices. not bad. i got the churozo, n lental soup, fried calimari, and fried figs wraped n baccon. OMG!, it was amazing. the calamari, was fried perfectly, not 2long, n not salty @all. the soup had a smokey, flavor.ok, now lets talk about the figs.....O-boy the figs. they are the best ting ive tasted n the last few years. by far they were the star of the show. skokey, sweet, salty, crispy, gooew! it was all there, n it all worked 2gether. the contrast n flacors, n the contrast n textuers was GREAT. realy theres no other way to describe it, i can tell u the next time i walk by im stopping n for sum figs! ...... the did have a fresh baked bread (nothing special, but it was fresh) and olive oil. and they did have a few olivs, and gormet cheese pices, with a sprig of rosemarry as a garnish. the staff was vrey friendly and accomidating as well.
