Broadway diner

Ok, so i heart the food network! sofar they have never steered me wrong! im n b-more, tiring to make it 2 "woodberry Kitchen" when low n behold they open @5!! and im there @2.... needless 2say im blown. so im on mi way home n decide 2 look through my crackberry n c if theres somewhere else n the city i wanted 2try. n there was "Broadway Diner" it did not disapoint! the menu was vast! i mean realy, i was with mi mom, n her complaint was there was 2much on it! anywho, i went with the Hungarian Goulash (featured on Diners Drive-ins, n Dives), and mom got the spinich salad. t
he salad was massive! covered with fresh mozzarella, italian baccon, roasted red peppers....i was ful, but typing is making me hungry again! mi dish, was very simplistic....but oddly enough some of the most simple things r the most n depth! perfectly cooked egg noodles, a rich brown gravy, and wonderful cubes of beef, reminiscent of potroast from the old country! it was just pasta, brn gravy, n beef...but @the same time it was so much more.
this place was nothing fancy (its a diner), but if ur looking 4sum good eats, and the old school flavor id hit um up!

bodaga, spanash tapas & lounge

ok, earlier 2day i was on my way 2georgetown cupcake (whol nother blog). it was roughly 3-ish n i got a little hungry, so i decided to venture down the street n c what caught mi eye. after a few blocks i saw a tapas bar! since it wasnt lunch, n not quit dinner, it wasnt croudrd @all. this worked out well 4me, because there was no enteruptions in my view of the decore. speaking of, the colors grab you as soon as u walk n. blk, red, n white! the blk n whw were well used, but thats 2b expected. the red was the standout, from the accent artwork adorning the walls, 2the blood red crystal chandlear.
now on 2the food, the reason were all here. i went with the lunch-box. as long as ur there by 3 its $10, and u get 3choices. not bad. i got the churozo, n lental soup, fried calimari, and fried figs wraped n baccon. OMG!, it was amazing. the calamari, was fried perfectly, not 2long, n not salty @all. the soup had a smokey, flavor.ok, now lets talk about the figs.....O-boy the figs. they are the best ting ive tasted n the last few years. by far they were the star of the show. skokey, sweet, salty, crispy, gooew! it was all there, n it all worked 2gether. the contrast n flacors, n the contrast n textuers was GREAT. realy theres no other way to describe it, i can tell u the next time i walk by im stopping n for sum figs! ...... the did have a fresh baked bread (nothing special, but it was fresh) and olive oil. and they did have a few olivs, and gormet cheese pices, with a sprig of rosemarry as a garnish. the staff was vrey friendly and accomidating as well.
